Vincent Hall - Where It All Started

VINCENT HALL located in the Boys’ Town premises along Upper Bukit Timah, which had since been demolished sometime end 2008.

This was where JM started her badminton training, at the beginning of 2007 when she was 8 years old, under Coach Tan Eng Han (a former Singapore National Doubles player) whom she fondly refers to as Uncle Han with his team of assistant coaches whom she calls Uncle Derrick, Uncle Seng, Uncle KT, Uncle Meng, Shermann kor kor (Eng Han’s son), Uncle Alvin and Uncle Chan.

Cheers (Singles) 2009

The competition has started and is held at the Yio Chu Kang Sports Hall from 25th November – 5th December 2009.

JM is participating in the Under 13 category this year although she is still eligible for the Under 11 category. Mom and Dad thought that as she had won the Under 11 category last year she might want to take up the challenge and play against the older players this year.

JM’s first match will be on Monday, 30th November at 10.15 a.m.

Next Up: Li Ning Youth International 2009

JM will be participating in the Li-Ning Youth International 2009 which will be held at the Yio Chu Kang Sports Hall from 14-20 December 2009. She will be competing in the Under 11 Singles category.

Players from Singapore and around the region, e.g., Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, the Philippines will be taking part in the competition.
