It was a fun experience for Jia Min (and me too !) when she went for a photo shoot on 13 September 2011, courtesy of “Nestle Breakfast Cereals” and which was arranged by her avid supporter and cousin Cho Pei Lin  :) Thanks Pei Lin !

CSC-Kason (Invitational) Badminton Competition – 5 to 11 September 2011

 

Jia Min played in the Singles and Doubles of the 14 & Under events. Came in CHAMPION for both events. Yippee !

5TH ASEAN PRIMARY SCHOOLS SPORTS OLYMPIAD – OCT 2012

Jia Min participated in the 4th ASEAN Primary Schools Sports Olympiad (APSSO) held last year in Jakarta and came in 4th in the Singles event.

However, she will not be participating in the 5th APSSO this year which will held in Yogjakarta from 8-15 October 2011.

We were surprised to find out from someone during the CSC-Kason competition that the trials and selection for the 5th APSSO had in fact been concluded in August 2011. We had actually been wondering why there had been no news for the call up for trials.  So, it was rather disappointing to find out that the selection had in fact been concluded without Jia min being given a chance for the trial.

A friend suggested that we appeal for Jia Min to be included for the 5th APSSO game but we have decided not to do so.  Well, a missed opportunity for Jia Min but we will focus on other upcoming competitions instead.

In the meantime, it’s back to the books for the PSLE exams coming up on 29 Sept – 5 Oct.
