Jia Min came very close to a chance of being in the Finals of the Singles event. However, in her Semi-Finals match, errors were made by the umpire in the 1st game awarding 3 points won by Jia Min to the opponent. The 1st game should have been won by Jia Min with a score of 21-16 but due to the errors made by the umpire, the game was eventually awarded to the opponent at 18-21.
That was a very sad day for her.
She had trained very very hard for the Grand-Prix Finals as she had aimed to win the title that year despite the presence of strong players from the other states.
